1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PalateCru mobile application, website at palatecru.app, and related digital services (collectively, the "Services"). By downloading or accessing PalateCru, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility & Account Responsibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use PalateCru. You are responsible for safeguarding your device and the authenticity of the information linked to your @handle. You agree not to impersonate any person, brand, or entity, or create handles with offensive or infringing trademarks.

3. User Content & Conduct

PalateCru allows you to create, log, and share dining entries, tasting notes, ratings, and photographs ("User Content"):

Ownership: You retain all intellectual property rights in and to your User Content.
License to PalateCru: By publishing photos or reviews to shared lobbies or the community feed, you grant PalateCru a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and format your content solely for operating and improving the Services.
Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to upload content that is defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, fraudulent, infringing on intellectual property, or promoting illegal dining operations.

4. Culinary Recommendations & Dietary Disclaimer

Dining & Health Notice: PalateCru's Taste DNA, algorithmic recommendations, and flavor radars are provided for entertainment, discovery, and informational purposes only. Restaurant menus, operational hours, ingredient lists, and spice levels change frequently. Always confirm allergens, dietary restrictions, and food safety directly with restaurant staff prior to dining.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

PalateCru, its custom UI, algorithmic radar models, graphics, logos, branding crests, and codebase are the proprietary property of PalateCru and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.

6. Termination & Deletion

You may terminate your account at any time by selecting Settings > Delete Account & Vault in the app. PalateCru reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or disrupt multiplayer lobbies.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PALATECRU SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR DINING EXPERIENCES AT RECOMMENDED VENUES.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
